But the consequences of children sharing explicit images – especially when the content could be leaked – may continue to haunt them for a long time to come. In all UK nations, part 67 of the Serious Crime Act 2015 makes it a criminal offence to engage in sexual communication with a child (under 16). This includes communication that relates to sexual activity and communication for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification (for example, grooming for sexual abuse). Part 11 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 makes it an offence to possess indecent images of children (whether or not you intend to distribute them). Deep Water (2022) is a psychological erotic thriller directed by Adrian Lyne, based on Patricia Highsmith’s novel. The film follows Vic (Ben Affleck) and Melinda (Ana de Armas), a married couple whose open relationship spirals into a dangerous and volatile game of deceit, obsession, and murder. However, in most countries, norms of female modesty require girls and women to cover their breasts in public, and many jurisdictions prosecute public toplessness as indecent exposure.
